learnactive

Learnactive has launched an exciting Retirement Fund Basics online tutorial package. The package is fulfilling a pressing need in South Africa to educate employees at all levels - and especially employee-elected trustees - on the basics of retirement funds. The package is definitely a unique first: it is aligned with a SAQA unit standard and endorsed by INSETA - the insurance sector's education and training authority. Source material for the tutorial was created by the Institute for Retirement Funds (IRF) and the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA).

The online tutorial package was developed by Trydian Interactive according to its outcomes-based education (OBE) instructional design methodology. The tutorial follows a non-linear learning approach and also facilitates the building of a portfolio of evidence by the learner, which can be submitted to Learnactive for assessment.

Audio-visual version

The entire Retirement Fund Basics tutorial package has been supplemented with voice-overs. This enables the learner to concentrate on the synchronised animated diagrams and mindmaps, while listening to the explanations. The audio-visual version of Retirement Fund Basics is available on CD-ROM.

Facilitation and assessment services

In addition to our e-learning tutorial package, we also provide physical learning facilitation and assessment services. Our facilitators have years of experience and are accredited assessors in multiple fields. For more info, contact Janhendrik at janhendrik@trydian.com.
